Location: Lafayette, Colorado

The Craft Place is a cozy DIY craft café where guests can relax, make fun beginner-friendly art projects, and enjoy beer or wine. We’re looking for a friendly, responsible person to help keep things running smoothly while the owner is on maternity leave.

You’ll be the only staff member on shift, so this role is ideal for someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and enjoys working independently.

Job Duration

This is a seasonal position running through the owner’s maternity leave.
The role will run through:

  • December 2025

  • January 2026

  • February 2026

  • March and beyond: TBD, but likely continuing with reduced or adjusted hours as needed

There is a strong possibility of extended or ongoing part-time hours for the right fit.

Schedule

  • Thursdays & Fridays: 4:00–8:30 PM

  • Saturdays & Sundays: 12:00–8:00 PM

You do not need to take every shift — we are open to hiring 1–2 people to split the schedule.

Training would begin as soon as possible, and official shifts start in early December.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting guests and taking drink/craft orders

  • Checking IDs for alcohol service

  • Serving drinks and delivering craft materials

  • Helping guests with simple craft-related questions

  • Keeping the space tidy and resetting tables

  • Cleaning bathrooms as needed

  • Notifying the owner when supplies run low. You do not need to handle ordering or purchasing. Just let the owner know when inventory is low.

  • Optional: helping with workshops, private parties, or special events outside normal hours

Requirements

  • Must be 21+

  • Comfortable checking IDs and following alcohol-service rules

  • Must complete a 3-hour online safe alcohol training (covered by us)

  • Friendly, dependable, and comfortable working solo

  • Able to carry drinks, interact with guests, and maintain a clean workspace

  • Interest in art, crafts, and creativity — you don’t need to know every medium, but you should understand craft basics and enjoy hands-on projects
