A creative night out built around thrifted treasures, shared supplies, and making whatever you want.

Thrifty Thursdays are weekly creative gatherings hosted at The Craft Place where six people gather around one table filled with secondhand finds, craft materials, forgotten objects, and random little treasures waiting to become something new.

There’s no set project, instead, the table becomes a sort of creative scavenger hunt — part art studio, part thrift store, part “I have no idea what I’m making yet but I’m excited to figure it out.”

One week you might find vintage glassware, old books and photos for junk journaling, fabric, thrifted frames, dried flowers, etc. Every Thursday is different because the materials are different. The whole point is creative freedom.

Maybe you make a collage.
Maybe you decorate a vase.
Maybe you start a junk journal.
Maybe you sit with a glass of wine and finally finish a craft you started three months ago.

Thrifty Thursdays are intentionally relaxed and open-ended — less of a structured class and more of a creative hangout centered around making things together.

And while the supplies may be thrifted, the night itself is meant to feel rich: good conversation, shared ideas, people passing materials across the table, everyone slowly getting inspired by what everyone else is creating.

You’re also welcome to bring your own projects, supplies, or thrifted finds from home to work on alongside the group. Want to bring takeout or dinner with you? Absolutely. This is your Thursday night to create however you want.

• A seat at our communal crafting table
• A selection of secondhand and repurposed materials
• Shared basic craft supplies and tools

Materials and themes will change week to week depending on what treasures we find.

Important Notes

• You’re welcome to bring your own craft projects or materials from home.
• Feel free to bring dinner or snacks with you.
• Wine and beer will be available for purchase during the event.
• Come solo or sign up with a friend. We simply ask that the table stay communal and conversational so the experience feels shared by the whole group.
• This is a relaxed, self-guided creative night rather than a structured workshop.

Thrifty Thursdays are intentionally limited to just six seats so the evening stays cozy, conversational, and community-focused. Because seating is limited, tickets are non-refundable.
