12/12 | Holiday Gnome - Needle Felt

There’s a chill in the air, the holidays are upon us - it’s time to get cozy and creative! Join us for a day of felting where you can let your imagination run wild!  Noelle, shepherdess of the Big Ash Farm flock, will guide you through the process of felting your gnome (needle felting with a wee bit of wet felting thrown in for good measure) with you adding all the personality!  There will be mounds of colorful Big Ash Farm wool, all hand dyed by Noelle, for you to pick from to create your masterpiece - a one of a kind felted gnome.  Make one for yourself to put on the mantel or photo bomb your holiday pictures or as a wonderful handmade gift - whatever you choose it will be a fun day!

This is a beginner friendly workshop.  

You’ll Take Home:

• One gnome! You should have plenty of time to finish, but if not, you’ll head home with the skills and needles you need to finish it at your own pace :)
  
• A deeper connection to local fiber and handmade craft

Important Notes

• There is no minimum age for this workshop. Please note that we will be using sharp felting needles, so if you plan to bring a minor, we encourage you to use your judgment and make the decision that feels right for your family.
• Advance registration required. Spots must be reserved ahead of time so we can prep materials accordingly. Because of this, tickets are non-refundable. 
  

About The Instructor - This workshop is led by Noelle Schreiber, shepherdess of the Big Ash Farm flock, located on the west side of Lafayette/ eastern outskirts of Boulder.  Noelle LOVES making fun and functional things using the wool of her flock of Icelandic sheep through felting - both needle and wet felting. It blows her mind how something so simple can create such neat stuff!

The only thing Noelle loves more than her flock and felting with their wool is introducing others to the magic of felting! She leads a number of workshops throughout the year where participants use her flock’s wool to create fun and functional things using needle and/or wet felting. Not only do we create with our hands, we create new friendships with others in our community!
