9/23 | Indigo Shibori

Discover the magic of indigo and the timeless beauty of Shibori in this hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop. Together, we’ll explore traditional folding, binding, and clamping techniques to create a set of uniquely patterned cloth napkins — perfect for your table or as heartfelt handmade gifts.

You’ll learn how different folds create different resist patterns, how to work confidently with an indigo vat, and how to achieve crisp, striking designs with simple tools. No experience needed — just curiosity, a love of making, and a willingness to get a little blue on your fingertips.

By the end of class, you’ll leave with:

• A complete set of hand-dyed Shibori napkins (4 napkins) 
• A solid understanding of several classic Shibori techniques
• The confidence to continue dyeing at home

Come play with pattern, color, and tradition — and enjoy the delight of watching your designs emerge from the indigo bath like magic.

• There is no minimum age for this workshop, but it is designed with adults and older children in mind. We encourage you to use your judgment and choose what feels right for your family.
  
• Advance registration required. Spots must be reserved ahead of time so we can prep materials accordingly. Because of this, tickets are non-refundable. 
• Wine and beer will be available for purchase, so you can sip while you create!
