8/17 - Yarn Embroidery on Knitwear

Give your favorite sweater, cardigan, or sweatshirt a one-of-a-kind makeover!

In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn how to embroider chunky yarn directly onto knitwear to create playful, textured designs. Personalize your piece with a name, moon, flowers, stars, or your own simple design, then stitch it with guidance every step of the way.

Bring your own knit sweater, cardigan, or sweatshirt—we'll provide all of the yarn, needles, templates, and instruction.

No embroidery experience needed. You'll leave with a cozy custom piece and the skills to keep embellishing your wardrobe at home.

Before the Workshop

Before class, spend a little time thinking about the design you'd like to create! You can choose a name or word, a moon, flowers, stars, or another simple design.

If you'd like to stitch a name, word, or a simple design, Carly will prepare a template ahead of time so you'll have everything ready to jump right in when you arrive. 

Please email Carly by August 14th with:

• The name, word, or simple design you'd like to stitch
• Your preferred font (see the Font Options in the images)
• The size of your sweater, cardigan, or sweatshirt

Last-minute registrations are always welcome! Carly will do her best to prepare your template before class. Also a template is NOT necessary - you can draw your own design during class on blank stabilizer.

Meet Your Instructor, Carly! 

With over 10 years of experience in fiber arts, Carly loves helping others discover how approachable and fun handmade projects can be. As an elementary school teacher, she enjoys breaking new skills into simple, easy-to-follow steps and creating a welcoming space where everyone can learn, create, and leave with something they're proud to wear.

• Advance registration required. Spots must be reserved ahead of time so we can prep materials accordingly. Because of this, tickets are non-refundable. 

• Wine and beer will be available for purchase, so you can sip while you create!
